Committees are an essential part of successful chamber programs and events. We are always looking for new members to help! Browse available committee opportunities below and let us know if you have any questions.

Individual Event Committees

The chamber hosts various signature events throughout the year. Each event has a committee of 3 or more, and we are always looking for new volunteers to bring their input and expertise to our events.

Annual Banquet Committee

This is the first event of the year and planning starts in November. The director and Chairman are the hosts and the planning is pretty simple. Volunteers are needed for mainly the evening of the event which includes entertainment host, food host and general support for the evening. 

Central Illinois Homeshow Committee

Early Spring at the Mahomet High School Fieldhouse
2018 was the first year for the Mahomet Home Show. Focusing upon area businesses that provide goods and services to improve your home and outdoor living. The committee starts planning 6 months prior to get prices and sponsor packets ready.

Mahomet SODA Festival Committee

Early Summer – Downtown Mahomet
 The Soda Fest will be held in Mahomet.  There will be tons of craft soda vendors, kids’ activities, food trucks, music and more.

Ladies Night Out Committee

Early Summer
2017 was the newly designed Ladies Night Out. With Pampering as the main objective, Ladies will enjoy adult beverages while being spoiled with things like manicures, hand massages and shopping from local boutiques.

Mahomet Auto Fest Committee

First or Second Sunday in July in  Downtown Mahomet
As this event continues to grow, it is a fun way to be a part of bringing some great autos to downtown Mahomet. The committee plans the day and generates support from sponsors.

Chamber Golf Outing Committee

September Lake of the Woods Golf Course
Don’t have to love golf to have fun on this committee. Planning for 18 foursomes with lunch, games and dinner, it is a great time. The committee also works with the golf course and sponsors to get the most of the event. 

Village Christmas / Breakfast with Santa Committee

First Friday and weekend of December in Downtown Mahomet
Nothing is better than working hard and then seeing the smiles on the faces of the children when we transition downtown Mahomet to a winter wonderland. From Santa, Shopping, treats to lights, decorations and smells of the holiday, this is a great time had by all. The breakfast with Santa is Saturday morning. It is a great time to watch the children eat and chat with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Held on Wednesday evenings from 4p-7p running June-Oct! We are always looking for more voices when searching for the perfect fruit/vegetable/craft items, and more!
